We are a choir of girls aged rising 12 to 18+, under the professional musical direction of Rob Goodrich. Our aims are to promote a love of music, especially singing, and to take that music out into the community, to be appreciated by all. To this end, our repertoire is eclectic, ranging from pop to classical, world music to swing and from musical theatre to folk.
Choir membership is inclusive and open, without audition, to any girl with a passion for singing and a willingness to commit to the Choir and its aims.
Rehearsals are held every Tuesday evening in term time, 6.30pm – 8.30pm, usually at The New Cut arts centre in Halesworth, Suffolk, and we are always happy to welcome new girls. Why not come along one evening and give us a go? Just contact us in advance to check the venue and timing.
Concert-style performances are held approximately once a term, and we also fulfil other engagements, such as weddings, street fairs and fêtes, from time to time. In the past, we have also entered choral competitions, with great success. In the near future, we are hoping to organise a tour in Yorkshire, taking in venues on our journey North and back.

ABOVE ALL, WE AIM TO HAVE FUN! We believe that singing should be both joyous and joyful. That said, we also recognise that a degree of discipline is needed for any choir to work properly, and we expect girls to work with us to achieve uniformity of sound, look and behaviour.
Because we have a professional Musical Director (Rob Goodrich) and also employ a professional Accompanist (Will Fergusson), we charge a membership fee of £18 per month to cover these and other costs, in addition to raising funds through our concerts and performances. We offer two bursaries, each covering the membership fees for one girl for a year.
